Thursday 26th June 2008 - Breakfast with the Birds - one of North Queensland’s best tropical buffet breakfasts being a wide range of fresh seasonal exotic and tropical fruits, freshly baked breads, muffins and pastries, cereals, fresh fruit juices, tea and coffee, fresh eggs cooked especially for you by our BBQ chef and a range of hot items to select from, including bacon, breakfast sausages, hash browns, baked beans and more!
After breakfast you will be taken on a guided tour through wetlands, rainforest and grassland environments with experienced guides who will provide informative and entertaining information about all the animals and birds at The Habitat. Guests are also able to get up close and personal with the Python, Freshwater Crocodile and Koalas that are all presented by wildlife keepers at different times during the day. $55.00pp


Welcome Event - main Conference Room
Local horticulturalist Kim Morris will formally open the conference at 4:00 pm and Speakers will be introduced.
This will be followed by the introduction of the Bromeliad Society International Officers, Directors and Standing Committee Members, who will outline their duties.
BSI Member/BSI Officer interaction will be encouraged.

Opening of Sales Room exclusively to Delegates will be 7:00pm

Member Sales: All BSI members registered for the WBC may sell plants in the member sales area. Each Registrant will receive a form to note your desire to participate in this part of the WBC. No additional members will be accepted for sales after 1st May 2008.
Because all sales items will be bar coded you do not need to be in attendance all of the time. Bar code information will be sent to you after you have returned your form indicating your desire to participate. The BSI furnishes barcodes to you free. All items for sale must have this barcode or the item will not be sold.
Please Note - selling your plants during the sale obligates you to spend at least two hours helping with the cash registers, bagging and security in the sales area.
