South America Cactus Expeditions South America Cactus Expeditions
Dear ex-participants of previous tours, clients, people that requested information, and subscribers of our information newsletter.

Just a short letter to announce our next trips for 2008-2009. I have just come back from the United States, and due to some requests, I would, if you have any interest in our following tours to please pre signed up, so I can count on places, and arrange for the logistics of these tours.

As some of you may know, this year trip to Central Brazil for 2008 was cancelled. However, after the presentations given in Florida and California, the trip WILL TAKE PLACE IN JUNE 2009. Please if you have interest let me know so I start pre-booking.
It is already a fact that we will do a tour to Peru (Cactus and lots of Bromeliads) in SEPTEMBER 2009. After researching, it seems September-October are the best months to do so. Some people have already signed up. I WILL BE GOING THERE FIRST TO CHECK ON HOTELS, and also to recognize sites for stops, identify plants, etc. I would also need to find out on how many people, so I can choose hotels accordingly.
There are still places for our Northwestern Argentina, cactus and bromeliad tour in November 2008. If you know somebody who might be interested….
1. NORTHWESTERN ARGENTINA (CACTUS AND BROMELIADS) nov 2008

Our classical tour in the peak of the flowering season for many Argentinean cactus species. We will also see over 50 species of Bromeliads (Tillandsias, Dyckias, Deuterochonias, Achmeas, Bromelias, etc).
Dates: You must arrive to Cordoba on Nov 15 2008 You will leave from Cordoba Nov 30 2008
Mode: All inclusive,
Max number of participants: 14
Duration: 16 days
Price: $2350, all inclusive except air fare. Price may vary if number of people is less than 12)

2. IGUAZU AND PANTANAL (BIRD WATCHING) may 2009

A birding trip combining some of the best places in South America for scenery and birding!
A slight change in the itinerary (from the one published on the website) may take place, in order to save some kilometers (and perhaps some days). Possibly starting from Iguazu and ending in Cuiaba. Possible 16-17 days.
The trip will be planned for May 2009 (fewer mosquitos than March or April).

3. CENTRAL BRAZIL (CACTUS AND BROMELIADS) june 2009
We will be repeating our successful itinerary that we completed in 2007 in the year 2009. Slight changes may be done depending on the major interest of the people joining this tour. Great opportunity to see cactus and bromeliads, besides some beautiful birds and incredible scenery. (Uebelmannias, Discos, Melos, and many columnar species) and bromeliads (Hohembergias, Encholiriums, Dyckias, Ortophytum, Cryptanthus, Neoregelias, Achmeas, etc).
Dates June 2009, to be announced
Mode: All inclusive,
Max number of participants: 14
Duration: 18 days
Price: $2950, all inclusive except air fare. Price may vary if number of people is less than 12)
