Cairns Society meet on the first Saturday of each month from February through to November inclusive.
Most meetings are held in member's gardens.
The meeting commences at 1:00pm and usually finishes by 4:00pm.
There are usually two learning segments at each meeting.
We have Popular Vote where members bring in their best plants and members decide which plants they like best.
Most meetings have a Mini Show segment, where plants are judged as per BSI standards.
Trophies are awarded annually for Popular Vote winners.
The Society competitive show is staged at Cairns Show in July each year. Entry to compete in this show is open to the public.
The Society has an extensive bromeliad Library, a bi-monthly newsletter and has regular bromeliad sales to the public.
Membership is $15 per person or $25 per family per calendar year.
